We are not Architects.

We are not Landscape Designers.

We are Architectural Illustrators with over 55 years of combined experience in developing high quality
multi-medium artwork from cad files for residential and commercial builders, architects, developers and
advertising agencies. Our goal has always been to offer real solutions for comprehensive marketing
materials.
By utilizing current graphics software, we streamlined the process of producing cost effective
graphic renderings and traditional hand drawn images for our clients.

We have a high regard and appreciation for good architectural design. We saw the great need to bridge
the gap between initial concept cad drawings and final presentation art. Our passion is illustration, so,
based on our own work and experience, producing non-photorealistic Hand Drawn Images was simply
the logical thing to do.
Our parent company, Scowcroft Studios, Inc. has afforded and enabled us to finally do what we love to do.
Illustrate. Over the past few years, we have created these collections of landscape and tree textures
with a very specific goal in mind...

"To provide real working collections of professional, high quality landscape textures that are specifically
designed to compliment your current software applications, and that will become a valuable tool for daily use
in designing your architectural projects and presentations, quickly and easily."

The HDI Collections of landscape and tree textures will increase your design flexibility, save valuable design
time and allow you to present your clients with impressive architectural visualizations.
HDI Collections work seamlessly with existing software such as Autodesk Impression, Google Sketchup
and Vectorworks. These images have never been published elsewhere to date, and we do know from
personal experience how much effort and time they save in the design to presentation process.

In developing the various landscape texture Collections, we based them on the Black & White Collection,
digitally added either Spring or Fall color and then decided to offer the Designer Series for maximum
design flexibility.
When working with the Collections, note that the texture image file names remain the same with the exception
of the color designation. For example, in a concept drawing, if you use a deciduous tree texture with the file
name of DECB_001 (B for black & white), and you decide to use the same tree texture for your final presentation,
simply replace it with the DECS_001 (S for spring color) or DECF_001 (F for fall color). The Designer Series
works the same way, with one very important feature. The texture image files are provided on transparent
backgrounds in separate layers of line art and color breakdown, take a closer look at the sample texture image
we have provided for your use. The possibilities in color variation and customization are endless.
Landscape texture Images in each Collection are provided in SKP, PSD, TIF, & PNG file formats @ 200 dpi
with precise alpha channels, PNG files with transparency, and the Designer Series in layers.

Here at HDI, we hope that you'll take the opportunity to download the texture sample images, use them in your
renderings, change them, manipulate them, screen them back, and see how they will allow you to
spend your valuable time doing what you love- designing. We have the Collections available as a
download for viewing the texture images in PDF format, take a look- we think you'll like what you see.
Currently, we are working on additional image texture Collections and releases for HDI, other elements that we
feel will make your architectural presentations even more successful- and if you have a specific need or an idea,
please let us know.

We really would love to hear from you, tell us your opinion, good or bad- we want to hear it all.

Thanks very much,

Jamie and Carol
